The Team

Legusta (Jay) Floyd is the Chief Executive Officer of Acclaim USA. He holds a BA degree from the University of Maryland, achieved the designation of Certified Building Services Executive through BSCAI and has more than twenty-five (25) years of experience and expertise as an executive in the facility maintenance industry.

An essential part of every Acclaim USA facility maintenance program is “management”. Expertise in implementation and execution of every service system from award through completion defines Acclaim USA. “PSST!...we’re the secret to Price, Service, Satisfaction and Trust.” We execute our business services ethically and with integrity, enabling us to foster a workplace environment that maximizes employee commitment and abilities. Workplace safety, technical proficiency, and measurable performance are key business principles guiding service satisfaction.

These principles are considerate of human interaction and development skills in communication systems. Every Acclaim USA’s technical service application must sustain a minimum 88% measured quality rating.

 

Safety Management Program

Acclaim USA, Inc. is committed to providing a safe working environment for employees and customers. Safety is of utmost importance to Acclaim USA. This philosophy is communicated throughout the entire company.

Acclaim USA’s Safety Program is administered through its Safety Council. The Council is represented by executive and middle management, service staff and our insurance carrier. The Council meets once a month to review claims, inspection reports, and discuss evolving workplace safety practices. The Committee's main focus is loss prevention, achieved through management of the following:

  • SAFETY TRAINING - Workplace safety training required of all employees.
  • SAFETY BINGO – An incentive program designed to promote work place safety awareness and reward workplace safety achievements.
  • SAFETY AWARDS – Achievement recognition for sustained workplace safety performance. This aspect of the program works in conjunction with the inspection reports. Any customer location that receive a score of 90% or above in sustained workplace safety is noted in Acclaim USA’s newsletter and rewarded.
  • TEAMMATE – Any employee who has more than three (3) consecutive loss time days receives a fruit basket. The program is designed to highlight our concern for our teammate. The program contains a modified return to work schedule.
  • DRIVER HONOR PLAN – During the monthly Safety Council meeting, a driver who has achieved the standards of driver safety excellence including, but not limited to good driving record, good attendance, no performance warnings, and no violation of the vehicle policy is nominated for selection to be promoted throughout the subsequent month as Acclaim USA’s example of driver excellence.
